My client who are a FTSE 250 company based in London is seeking a J2EE Developer to work on a high profile Website. It is essential that you have a solid J2EE background and have commercial experience working with Spring and Hibernate. The technologies you will be working with in this project include: Spring framework, Hibernate 3, Oracle 10G, WebLogic 9, high level Ajax, Web services, JUnit, HTTPUnit, JAAS, JSF/Tiles/Velocity, Groovy, Grails. The contract will be for an initial 2 month period with an extremely strong possibility of an extension for the right candidate. Experience
----------------

* At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or equivalent position.
* Experience working in a fast paced, startup environment a plus.
* Experience with payment systems, job boards and job management systems, or any web-based revenue driven feature a plus.
* Experience with developing Web2.0, collaborative, 'user generated content' features a plus.
* Experience with Groovy and the Grails framework a plus.


Skills and abilities

* In depth and hands on knowledge of Java, the J2EE platform and experience working with relevant tools (IDEs, ant, junit, etc.).
* Solid understanding of design, coding and testing patterns.
