Ivy 是一個(gè)高效的依賴管理Java工具，可以和Ant方便的集成。Ivy誕生的背景就是開發(fā)者認(rèn)為Maven 1.0 在項(xiàng)目依賴管理上面存在重大缺陷又遲遲不能改進(jìn)。而Maven2雖然提供了自動(dòng)嵌套管理，卻始終過于復(fù)雜化而不太方便使用。雖然Maven2在項(xiàng)目管理工具方面十分優(yōu)秀，而一個(gè)更加高效輕巧的依賴管理工具還是十分有必要的。
最近重新整理開發(fā)環(huán)境，上Ivy的網(wǎng)站看了看，才知道Ivy項(xiàng)目已經(jīng)在去年底加入了Apache孵化器，這個(gè)消息讓我們最值得期待看看的就是Ivy會(huì)為Ant和Maven帶來什么樣的改變，Ivy本身又會(huì)如何發(fā)展？
Ivy 開發(fā)者給出了加入Apache的四個(gè)主要原因，如果是按重要性先后順序排列的話，倒是很有意思：
The maintainers of Ivy are interested in joining the Apache Software Foundation for several reasons:
Ivy has been hosted since its beginning in 2004 by a private
company, which make people feel like it's a corporate product, thus
slowing the contribution by the community. We strongly believe in the
open source movement, and would like to make Ivy independent from
Jayasoft.?
???????? Ivy項(xiàng)目自從2004年啟動(dòng)以來就一直放在私人公司的站點(diǎn)上，這使得人們感覺它像一個(gè)商業(yè)產(chǎn)品，阻礙了社區(qū)的交流和發(fā)揮。我們對(duì)開源運(yùn)動(dòng)有強(qiáng)烈的信仰，并且十分愿意讓Ivy項(xiàng)目從 Jayasoft獨(dú)立出來。
