先介紹一下問題的語境：相信我們當中不少人已經(jīng)都有過輸液的經(jīng)歷，也就是大家通常所說的打點滴、吊鹽水，更專業(yè)一點，可能會聽到醫(yī)生護士用靜脈滴注這樣的表述，究竟我們生活中經(jīng)常說起的"輸液"用英文中哪個單詞來表達最為貼切呢？

簡單搜索一下，發(fā)現(xiàn)這個詞的英文翻譯有很多的版本，有drip、 transfusion、 perfusion、 infusion，甚至我也曾經(jīng)看到有人用injection這個詞。最后一個其實很好排除，injection用于醫(yī)療注射這一含義的時候，是特指那種使用針筒注射器將藥液推注進體內(nèi)的方式，也就是通常說的肌注-肌肉注射，它一個核心的特點是by force。Drips則近了很多，drip作名詞時有"滴注器"這個含義，put somebody on a drip，給某人輸液。

剩下的3個詞則顯得更加難以區(qū)分。都是fusion，究竟這3種不同的詞根加在fusion前面會給這個詞帶來些什么微妙的變化呢？我們首先分別來看看 transfusion、 perfusion和 infusion在Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary (牛津高階詞典)和Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary (韋氏大學詞典)兩大詞典中的定義吧(忽略掉不相關的條目)：

Transfusion:
[Oxford] (also blood transfusion) n [C,U] an act or the process of putting one person's blood into another person's body.
[Webster] an act, process, or instance of transfusing (to transfer (as blood) into a vein of person or animal); esp: the process of transfusing fluid into a vein(靜脈) or artery(動脈).
# 主要(最早的用法)還是指輸血，也可以指輸液，重點在"TRANS/轉(zhuǎn)"，從一個個體到另一個個體，或者從一個地方到另一個地方，也不限制是不是by force，比較泛。

Perfusion:
[Oxford] (ENTRY NOT FOUND)
[Webster] perfuse: to force a liquid through (an organ or tissue) esp. by way of the blood vessels(血管).
# 通過血管輸送液體通過器官或組織，不具體指某一中注射方式，重點在"PER/通過、透過、徹底"。多見于美式英語。

Infusion:
[Oxford] 1: [C usu sing] ~ of sth (into sb/sth) the introduction of sb/sth new that will have a positive influence. 2: (a) [U] the act of process of soaking tea, herbs, etc in a liquid. (b) [C] a drink, medicine, etc prepared in this way.
[Webster] 1: the act or process of infusing. (infuse - to steep in liquid (as water) without boiling so as to extract the soluble constituents or principles) 2: a product produced by infusing. 3: the continuous slow introduction of a solution(溶液) esp. into a vein(靜脈).
# 最常用的含義是泡、沏，在美語中直接可以指靜脈滴注，在英式英語中含義則相對泛一些，指引入某種能夠帶來積極效果的人或事物，重點在"IN/入"。

最后再看看前面提到過的drip在這兩大詞典中的定義：

Drip:
[Oxford] [C] (medical) a device that passes liquid food, medicine, etc directly into a patient's vein(靜脈).
[Webster] a device for the administration of a fluid at a slow rate esp. into a vein(靜脈); also: a material so administered.
# 不論在美式英語還是英式英語中都指醫(yī)用滴注器，也衍生出靜脈滴注這個process的含義。

哈哈，看到這里，是不是有點暈了，不過我們還是需要找出一個答案，不然豈不白白看了這么一大堆英文詞典的定義？我選drip，你的選擇是？
