3.1正式發(fā)布了，雖然Eclipse Foundation預(yù)先估計(jì)到了可能會(huì)出現(xiàn)的下載量，并且作了預(yù)防措施：
擴(kuò)容了帶寬，但是，Eclipse的下載服務(wù)器還是沒有抵擋住這么大的下載量，而癱瘓了。
Eclipse的Denis Roy在slashdot上發(fā)表了一份“申明”，但是似乎于事無補(bǔ)：
“Even doubling our available bandwidth couldn’t save us from the popularity of Eclipse. Although the new hardware is holding up just fine, we are simply overwhelmed by the amount of requests. We were saturated at 2,200 concurrent connections, and we are currently at 4,320 - and have been at that rate for the last 8 hours. ”
Eclipse 的webmaster正在嘗試設(shè)置一個(gè)更高容量的鏡像站點(diǎn)來應(yīng)付這么大的下載量。 如果你現(xiàn)在下載還有問題的話，嘗試一下其它的鏡像站點(diǎn)（或者離你比較近的站點(diǎn)），如果你的朋友已經(jīng)下載了，去copy一份吧。
讓我們看看目前的下載數(shù)字：過去的18個(gè)多小時(shí)里面，超過95,000 次下載了。 要達(dá)到100萬份，估計(jì)不需要40天或者60天了，我估計(jì)20天就夠了。 這個(gè)禮拜的JavaOne 2005開完，那么多的人回去以后，又會(huì)有一次下載高峰的。 祝賀你，Eclipse。
